The Blackcaps squad for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup has been announced. Tom Latham, Matt Henry, Daryl Mitchell and Ish Sodhi make up the Canterbury contingent of the 15 man squad.

This edition of the World Cup is being held in India and kicks off on Thursday 5th October with the Blackcaps coming up against England in Ahmedabad. The Blackcaps have just concluded a white ball tour of England where they lost the ODI leg 3-1.

Before the World Cup kicks off, the Blackcaps will head to Bangladesh for a 3 match ODI series to continue their preparations. Chad Bowes, Kyle Jamieson, Cole McConchie, Henry Nicholls and Ish Sodhi are included in the squad for this tour. Tom Latham, Matt Henry and Daryl Mitchell were left out of the squad in order for them to have a short break before the World Cup.
