Update from Auckland; The Canterbury U17 team has finished the 50 over segment of the tournament strong with two wins.

Yesterday in 40km/hr winds, our boys emphatically beat Otago by 152 runs. Batting first we posted 250. The significant partnership of the innings was between Jesse Frew (91) and Regan Sheahan (42). Our bowling partnerships ensured Otago never really got going with Angus Sidey 3/21 off 6, Matt Munro 3/24 off 8 and Will Smith 2/18 off 6.

Unfortunately the day came with a few casualties, with the team losing Archie Redfern and Harry McMillan to injury. They will be replaced by Cullen Moody and Ryan Hughes.

Today is a rest day for the team before they start their 20/20 segment on Friday. #WeAreCanterbury
