The Canterbury Kings completed a comprehensive victory over the Otago Volts on Monday to book themselves a spot in the Dream 11 Super Smash Grand Final at Hagley Oval on Saturday.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, The Kings were able to pick up regular wickets and restricted the Volts to 166/8 off their 20 overs. Todd Astle the pick of the bowlers with 3-24 off 4 overs. In reply, Ken McClure (68) and Chad Bowes (52) got the kings off to a solid start before Bowes departed in the 10th over with the score at 95/1. Leo Carter (29*) and Cole McConchie (13*) then saw the Kings home, winning by 8 wickets.

The Kings will face the winner of the mens elimination final between the Northern Brave Men and the Otago Volts on Saturday and after being finalists for the last 2 years, the Kings will be looking to go one better and claim the trophy in front of their home crowd.
