Ish joined the Red and Black ahead of the 2022/23 season from Northern Districts and has also enjoyed spells at The Jamaica Tallawahs & St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the Caribbean Premier League, the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, and the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League. Often touted as a white ball specialist, Sodhi has test experience and harbours ambitions of once again pulling on the whites for New Zealand. Ish remains one of the premier spinners in the country and will surely be a huge asset to Canterbury whenever his schedule allows him game time.
