Cricket PNG is the National Cricket Body responsible for the governance and development of cricket in Papua New Guinea.

The General Manager will oversee a small team and will cover administration and financial management with respect to the development of cricket in PNG.  Raising revenue and non-financial support is a key focus in this role and for the growth of cricket in PNG.

 

The successful candidate is likely to possess:

  • demonstrated ability to manage and administer a sporting organization or similar;
  • past experience in managing budgets and preparing financial reports;
  • outstanding communication and interpersonal skills at all levels;
  • proven strategic planning and implementation attributes;
  • the ability to work with stakeholders from differing backgrounds across cultural and national identities;
  • skills in developing partnerships with corporate organisations, government agencies, media outlets, aid organizations and the cricket community;
  • demonstrated capacity to expand sporting programs into non-traditional regional areas;
  • understanding of best practice sport development principles;
  • a relevant degree;
  • independent qualities and a self starter.

 

This role is based in the offices of Cricket PNG in Port Moresby.  Applications are encouraged from within and outside of PNG and salary will consist of package of PGK 100,000 + .
