Canterbury Cricket offers the full range of coach education courses, targeting the beginner parent to the experienced coach.
MILO Have-A-Go
This course is intended for the parents and teachers of children who are involved in the introductory MILO Have-A-Go programme. It deals with organising and running a series of fund activity sessions including skill drills and games for 5-8 year old boys and girls
MILO Kiwi
This Course is intended for the parent of teacher or volunteer involved in organising and coaching 7-10 year old boys and girls playing for their school or club
Coaching a Cricket Team
This course is designed for the parent, volunteer or coach involved in coach 10-18 year olds at primary schools, secondary schools or clubs. It is mainly concerned with 11-a-side coaching
Level 1
Level 1 combines practical sessions and personal study and is intended for those coaches of 11-a-side teams who have some knowledge and/or cricket playing experience. It focuses on planning, coaching through he principals of biomechanics and demonstrating an understanding of team coaching. ; Coaches MUST of attended a Coaching a Cricket Team course before the embark on Level 1.

Level 2
Level two is designed for serious 11-a-side team coaches who have an active coaching record and a commitment to coaching. It concentrates on detailed planning and evaluation, understanding and using the principals of biomechanics to coach, analyse and improve skills. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the coaching process and effective team coaching, including game tactics
